Nutrition: Let's start here

Nutrition is at the base of the CrossFit pyramid and forms the foundation of the methodology. It reads...


Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. (processed sugar)

The first sentence in the CrossFit prescription for nutrition covers the fundamentals for good health. By eating a variety of wholefoods and reducing processed foods, you have the basics with quality food and a broad range of nutrients.

If you just do this most of the time, you will see improvements!

Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

The second sentence of this prescription refers to quantity. This will help with your performance and body composition. It is a way to refine nutrition to get your best results!

Quantity depends on your specific goals, whether it is weight loss, gainz, performance or good health. Without a doubt, focusing on the basics of nutrition first along with your CrossFit workouts will guarantee results in body compositon and performance. My top tip is to master consitency with the basics!
